Antonio Di Venere
Age 20 – Italy
My name is Antonio Di Venere, I was born in Bari – Italy, where I currently live and study for my Economics and Trade degree. My interests ranges from Economic to Politics, through Arts and Music. I am member of the Students’ Representing in my University. I am also active as a volunteer for a local Blood-Donors’ Association. My native language is Italian. I am also fluent in English with a beginner’s level in Spanish and Portuguese.
My passion for Political matters lead me to consider how important it is to raise a personal background about global matters, both socio-humanitarian and economic ones. This is the reason why I often get involved in Model United Nation’s events and project (RomeMUN 2015 and ViennaMUN 2016).
But there was something missing, a little empty space that didn’t let me appreciate the great value of International Relations. This blank was been filled when I become involved in the ‘Culture of Peace’, before I never really interacted with, thanks to a special person who became important in my life. So I participated in the World Peace Forum in Florianopolis – Brazil in September 2016 where I understood how important and great is the value of a Culture of Peace for every single moment of our life also to appreciate the world we are living and the people too.
In my life this moment has been a new beginning. For this reason I am constantly promoting this point of view to look at our every days with, because I firmly believe in people’s attitude in building something great, so why not building a great Culture of Peace as integration of our habits?
“The world is nearly changing, it is up to us decide to be spectators or builders of a peaceful world”.
